The goal has always been for the page to fit best side to side. (Plus a decent margin for those with links along the side of their browsers.)
So when reading you'd start at the top and scroll down through the page so you could enjoy the artwork at a great resolution
without needing to also scroll side to side. NEVER for it to fit top to bottom.
